Missing Brother

Little Parr left on the train last night with Grandma.  Sam misses her brother.  She cried for an hour and a half last night asking for her brother.  She pointed at his seat in car and kept asking "where Parr?" "why?"  Every time I told her he was with Grandma she would cover her eyes and sob.  She would not go to bed and by 11:30 she had to just cry it out.  She got up this morning at the same time as she normally does so I think there will be a nice long nap this afternoon.  It is cute that she loves him that much and that she misses him.

Jump Around Town

There is this little place that opened a couple of months ago so I thought we would go check it out. It was alright, but the kids loved it. There were four bounce houses and a jumping pillow.

She would not leave her tutu at home, it didn't hurt anything for her to wear it out

The right picture is blurry but you can see the smile that is on her face, I did not think she would like it but she loved it

She did it all by herself

 The jumping pillow

The right one is also blurry, but she loved this bounce house because she could get up the ladder all by herself

Parr met some friends, which is why there are not a lot of pictures of him, this one had a basketball hoop  in it and he was shooting hoops

Here are some videos of Sam on one of the slides and pillow.

Zombies

The kids have been acting like zombies this last week.  They both stick their arms our and walk around saying "argh, arrrgh, arrrrrrrrgh".  Little Parr says his Aunt Kristin showed him a video clip and so he likes to be a zombie now.  Little Parr even pretends to bite and says, "You are a zombie now, so you have to eat body flush!"  I tried to get a video but Sam is not wanting to right now so I will post one when I get one.

First Stitches

Little Parr and Sam were sitting on my lap after Sam's nap.  She spilled her crackers on the floor and so Little Parr got down to help her pick them up.  When they were done she came over and asked to be picked up.  Little Parr's card table was next to my chair because we were doing puzzles.  As I went to pick up Sam, Little Parr came running over and slid across his table to get on my lap first and landed head first on the edge of his daddy's desk.  He sat up crying, I handed Sam to my brother, got our shoes on and went to Instacare.  He cried the whole five minutes it took to get there because he was worried about getting a shot.  He was calm when they numbed it with a gel, but lost it when he saw the needle to numb it a little bit more.  His daddy had to hold him down.  He was fine as they stitched him up.

Had to document what it looked like to show him.

What it looks like after his stitches.

Bowling

We went bowling for FHE this last week.  Little Parr and Sam beat all of us, their two game score was 253.  Little Parr and Sam shared the same ball and just took turns bowling.

Sam loved it when she got to bowl.  She knew which ball was hers and what to do.  She got four strikes.  They had a great time and Little Parr wants to go every week.

Snow Queen and being nice

Today we went and saw the Snow Queen Ballet at BYU.  It was fun to get out and take Parr to something that he has never been to. His daddy took the morning off work to come with us and Sam went to Grandma's since babies under two were not allowed in. Parr had fun and wants to take a ballet class, I will see if I can find a dance class (probably just a creative dance class) that is not overly expensive. Sam would have loved the ballet. She loves dancing.

They are growing so fast and learning so much.

Modeling her hat the she got for Christmas from her Aunt Maren, she will only wear it if she gets to put it on.

She loves the camera.

They were being nice to each other and Sam was actually sharing with Parr.

I sure love these two and I am so glad that I am able to stay home with them.

Field trips and such

The aviary in SLC has free Wednesdays through the month of February, so we took the opportunity to go yesterday.  The kids loved it, and the weather was not bad.  It did start to get a little bit chilly in the afternoon but we were almost done by then.

She carried a handful of Goldfish through most of it

Whining about something and had to document it for him

He loved looking for the owls in the trees

She got bored so we went and took pictures

Proof I was actually there with them

Little Parr loves our field trips.  He is excited for this month, he has two or three more that we are going on.  He is learning so much.  We have added spelling words as apart of his homeschooling and is doing really well.  He has a PE class that he is taking at UVU.  He has started piano lessons taught by his daddy.  He is also taking swim lessons and is excited to keep going to that.  He told me today that he wants to play soccer, take gymnastics, take swimming lessons again, and take ice skating lessons this next month.  Well, we may be able to take a couple of those without burning him (mostly me) out.
